Pre-Authorized Payments

You may arrange for automatic deductions from your Credit Union Checking account(s) for regular monthly payments to participating organizations such as mortgage holders, insurance companies or other financial institutions.

These types of deductions can only be originated by the participating/receiving firm.

Arranging a Pre-Authorized Payment

To arrange for pre-authorized payments, you must work directly with the institution that will withdraw the payment from your account. They will provide you with the necessary forms. You will typically need to provide them with the following information:

  • Our name: Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union
  • Our location: Washington, DC, USA
  • Our ABA Number: 2540-7417-0 (also referred to as a "Routing & Transit" or "Routing" number)
  • Your name
  • Your Credit Union Account Number
  • Your Credit Union Account Type (Checking, Savings, etc.)

When specifying your account number, please only include the numeric digits. Please refer to the Account Agreement and Disclosure for more information regarding pre-authorized payments.
